Cycling

This pages serves as a support to our guidebook Cycling in Ireland with GPX files and Strava links for each of the 80 routes plus all the long-distance cycles and the six stages of the Wild Atlantic Way. I decided to make these files publicly accessible rather than try and prevent people who haven’t bought the book accessing them. If you don’t own a copy of Cycling in Ireland I urge you to buy one, there is a ton of useful information in it.

If you are enjoying your copy of Cycling in Ireland I would really appreciate a review on Amazon, Google Books or on your social media (tag @ThreeRockBooks) if you had a spare minute. Thanks!

If you plan to follow one of these routes then the best approach is to download the relevant GPX file onto your GPS or smartphone. Once on your smartphone I recommended you use a tool such as OsmAnd to follow the routes.

It may be wise to also print a paper copy just in case you run out of battery. Probably the easiest way to do this is to take a photo of the relevant pages in the book.

If you have any feedback on these routes or suggestions for future editions of the book then please send an email to [email protected].

You can get around it by right clicking on the link and “Save Link As”. This works on a PC anyway.  On my android if I long press the link and then select “Download Link” it also works.

TO DOWNLOAD THE GPX ON A PC RIGHT CLICK ON THE LINK AND SELECT “Save Link As”. ON ANDROID LONG PRESS THE LINK AND SELECT “Download Link”.

To access the new and updated routes of the second edition click here. This page is password-protected. The password is the last word on page 114 of the second edition of Cycling in Ireland.
