Preliminary route choices for Glendo

Glendo, the sexy, more popular sibling of the slightly dumpy, overlooked Luggala.

South facing, clean, great rock, lots of classic in the mid grades. What’s not to like.

Here’s the list, what do you think?

  • Cracks on the Garden of Eden
  • Expectancy
  • Deirdre
  • Quartz Gully
  • Prelude-Nightmare
  • Spéirbhean
  • Scimitar Crack
  • Spillikin Ridge
  • Fanfare
  • Sarcopagus
  • Forest Rhapsody
  • Jackey
  • Celia
  • Aisling Arete
  • Concrete Wallflower
  • Lethe
  • Lifeline
  • Cornish Rhapsody
  • Freebird
  • Cúchulainn Groove

The routes on the Upper Cliffs mightn’t come into condition very often. Are they worth mentioning. There isn’t much in the E grades but I think Glendo is a really a venue for VS/HVS climbers anyway? Is there any other hard routes that might be worth including?
